Back from Italy and am still getting over a month of 4hr of sleep/night due to church bells in the piazza. That coupled with jet lag makes me nod off at 9 PM. I'll try to get to 10 PM tonight.
More prep work for my solo concert "Summer Nights" will be done today. Need to write a sound bite for ads as well as pick a photo for a poster. Sept. 20th is right around the corner and much needs to be done. The venue is Christ the Servant Lutheran in Henderson, NV one block north east of the corner of Pecos and 215. I'm hoping to recreate this concert in Minnesota at 2 -3 different locations the end of October, beginning of November. More on that later. The concert includes a few sacred/folk pieces as well as some Broadway, pop/jazz, opera and operetta selections. A skit or two will sneak its way in as well.
Also prep work is being done for my pops concert in Guatemala City scheduled for Oct. 15. Its called "Holiday of Musicals". I've never been to this city or worked with this group before. I'm looking forward to it.
Another concert on Nov. 9 will be in Lakeland, FL and is a fundraiser for a private school there. Not sure what the program is or where the venue is. More on that later.
December 19 is a holiday concert for the city of Las Vegas. More on this later as well.
January - May of 2010 will be operas split between Florida - Las Vegas - New York with the bulk of the opera happening with the MET in NY. More info on this in the next few days.
